Long ago in days of yor, I began a thread on Drunk Duck that functions much in this manner. A year later and abandoned by myself, I checked up on it to see it was still going. That being said, why don't we have one of those?

So, here is how the thread works. You may post in this thread when and if your comic updates. Your post must consist of two things:

1- You must critique/comment on the comic update the poster prior to your post. You can do this on their comic page, but it needs to be seen in your post as well. Simply copy/pasting what you posted at their comic update into your forum post works as well.

2- You must only post the latest update to your comic for feedback/critique, though you can choose to opt out of real critcism and seek a general comment on the update.

If you post your update and do not comment on the prior poster, then your update can be ignored by other posters, who will then post their comment based on the last person to match the above criteria.

So, what is the short version of this idea? Post in this thread when you comment updates, but comment on the comic of the person who posted before you.

Since we need someone to kick this off, I will go first. My comic Cosmic Dash updated today. It doesn't seem like it because I retroactively added a title card to the archive. Please let me know what you think about it. There are some plot points embedded into the design.

Wow that's really nice stuff HPK! The bottom half of the planet feels a little bare but I guess it works!

Ha, now someone has to try and say something about MY comic. http://sirc.comicdish.com/index.php?pageID=411
Bet you wished you got in and replied to HPK sooner, eh?! Serves you right...

@raocow: Oh, context eh? Right. Akwow the Punisher Bot and Hitler were hanging out together when all of a sudden a strange cloaked guy appears, blows up their house, and claims to be... Akwow's creator!? He wants to restore Akwow to "factory settings" and delete his memories...
His head is usually that big. He's a big floating head, actually.

Yeah it makes as little sense with context as without...

I didn't want to go first because it sounded rude to me somehow. I don't know.

Killersteak: wow, that is a page which barely makes sense without context! With that said, that 'mysterious cloak guy' bit made me chuckle. I always figured that Hitler as a villain started to get overdone, but you don't seem to take it seriously at all, so eh! Go nuts!

Apparently getting mind-controlled increases the size of your skull considerably?

A.T.X.S.:

You know, I'm not sure this strip would make sense even *in* context, but I'm pretty sure insanity is the point. Smile Your colors are just amazing, though, and I really like how innovative you're being with the layout. I'm just starting to poke at flexible layouts myself and it's a wee bit intimidating.

New Comic Dash page, this time, we see a new character on another planet! Plus, cameos galore!

katastrophe: Nice comic, I like the first panel with the whole trying to get his attention thing, very familiar. Very Happy

I think the walls feel a little plain though, maybe a poster or something would make things feel a little less drab?

hpkomic: Koopa Coptor is always a classy way to travel.

I really like your backgrounds and the colored lines. The art's all very clean and consistent. I think the last panel could've been a little more action-y, like with lines or maybe some blur to indicate the motion, but it's still pretty clear what's happening.

Here's my most recent comic.

I like your page overall. It lacks backgrounds but i don't think you really miss it because of how lighthearted the theme of the comic is.
Love the coraline reference too.

My comic page is just a drawing of a character. Trying to get more of those out there. Smile
Going back a page will give an actual comic.

@draxenn: Oh god, hairy nipples. I think I've seen that character from somewhere, haven't it?

New Cosmic Dash page! I wonder what this is all about? O:

I quite like your art, Dave. It's smooth and slick, the colours are pleasantly pastel and not hard on the eyes, and the backgrounds are, surprising for a webcomic, quite detailed and well-drawn. As for the story, I can't say much since it's only been thirteen pages, but I'm interested in finding out what happens as they move that egg! Will they get attacked by giant egg-eating lizards? I wonder what happens to Angn at his new job?

Rock on!

Hexagon Death Squad needs some love!

I love all the different angles and the perspectives used in making this comic.
All the action scenes, i can really get into it, like in a movie, you know?

The jokes in Digital Treason are cute, and I enjoy the new characters. Lady McScience and Doofus von Schmuck are funny and make me smirk if nothing else. I should like to see you learn to draw a hand giving the bird a bit better, but other than that no complaints. Solid effort. Very Happy

A Comedy of Panels has a nice sketchy style, but I think it use a bit more form to it, some backgrounds, or just a little bit of additional details (like possibly shading. The art looks pretty good, but it also looks pretty drab. I do, however, think the Do It Yourself comic idea is brilliant.

BAM! An update!

HPK should be on more pamphlets. That should be an unwritten rule of pamphlets from now on, they all need HPK on the back giving a thumbs up.
Nice expressive, colourful characters in Femmegasm, as usual Very Happy
I like the background gag in the sonic one Laughing

Love the clean solid linework and bold colors. The text in particular is very pro! Great panel layout... this is solid stuff, I'm gonna hafta read through this. The only little nitpick I have on this page is in the first panel, the black lines of the door in the background... if those were lightened up slightly I think it would place it further in the background, like what you've got goin' on with the figures in the last panel. But, again, very minor nitpick.

Here's the latest from The Pretentious History of Everything.
